The winning entry in the PSS Vocal Booth competition comes from Al Cherin of Putney, London in the UK. Al used the PSS Vocal Booth Plan as the blueprint to build this superb vocal booth (pictured below). Al’s entry took the winning prize for it’s innovative adaption of the PSS Vocal Booth Plan, its quality of build and professional look. Al took the basic PSS booth plan, expanded the dimensions and moved the angled wall to the left hand side, in addition he increased the size of the window and moved it to the angled wall and added a pressure lock door on the left hand side. Al’s main need was to keep out traffic noise so he made the booth double walled and used an existing wall to make it a permanent fixture. All up Al says his booth came in at under 700 Pounds (UK). As winning entry Al takes home a two year online subscription to Europe’s leading audio & recording magazine. Well done Al, congratulations on a vocal booth that any studio owner would be proud to own.....and at a nice price too! |

Al says, “I elaborated on the design of my PSS booth, as my main need was to keep out loud ambient noise. It has double walls filled with rockwool, double glazing and thick sealed door. I’m thrilled. I’ve had great feedback and the vocal results are terrific. Thanks guys for the inspiration”. |
